White Bones is one of the most celebrated white wines to come out of Argentina. Sourced from select rows within Block 1 of Catena Zapata's famous Adrianna Vineyard in Gualtallary — perched at almost 1,500 metres in the high Andes — the parcel sits on calcareous soils laced with limestone and fossilised animal bones that give the wine its name and its razor-sharp mineral signature.
The 2023 vintage opens with a vibrant bouquet of citrus rinds, dried spices, white flowers and fresh herbs. The palate marries live-wire focus with ethereal richness, carried by a gently creamy core through a mouthwatering, mineral-drenched finish. Cold settled, then naturally fermented over 45–95 days and matured 12–16 months in seasoned French oak barrels.
A singular expression of high-altitude Chardonnay — a rare and cellar-worthy bottle with decades of potential.
