Darshan is one of the most personal wines in the Bindi range, named in tribute to Michael Dhillon's late father. It comes from a close-planted block on the family's Macedon Ranges property, where high vine density and clay-rich soils give the wine a distinctive, ethereal character.
Expect a fragrant, spice-driven Pinot Noir with a core of red fruits such as cherry, pomegranate and blood orange, lifted by rose hip, crushed stone and a savoury, earthy undertone. The palate is silky and seamlessly integrated, with fine, driving tannins, bright acidity and a stony, mineral finish.
Bindi is regarded as one of Australia's benchmark producers of cool-climate Pinot Noir, and this is an elegant, ageworthy wine that will continue to build complexity with time in the cellar.
