Dessus de Montchenevoy is above the famed Savigny 1er Cru Aux Guettes. It’s a west-facing site on white soils that sits at 340 meters and is surrounded by forests. The altitude and cool air from the forest moderate the climate, resulting in slow ripening and flavour development, while the white, stony soils provide raciness and minerality.
