Bindi is one of the Macedon Ranges' most revered producers, crafting small quantities of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from its estate in central Victoria. The Darshan Pinot Noir is named in honour of Bill Darshan Singh Dhillon, father of winemaker Michael Dhillon, and is drawn from close-planted estate vines.
This is a fragrant, energetic Pinot Noir showing sleek red cherry and raspberry fruit alongside pomegranate, rose hip and a subtle savoury, ferrous edge. The palate is textural and finely balanced, with silky tannins, bright acidity and a stony, mineral finish.
Elegant and expressive, it reflects the cool climate and the volcanic and quartz-influenced soils of the region.
