Benoît Moreau tends two tiny plots of 30 and 60-year-old vines at the southern end of this renowned vineyard. En Remilly is, of course, one of Saint-Aubin’s prestige terroirs. It sits above the Côte de Beaune’s Grand Cru vineyards and produces one of the village’s finest and most sought-after wines. This a superb white Burgundy with lovely flesh, lots of stone fruit and spice and a long, mineral finish.
“Mid lemon yellow. More of an apple perfume here, refreshing stones that haven’t been too roasted. Then a burst of yellow fruit energy further back, with excellent persistence. Lingers in the mouth Drink from 2027-2030.”
