Weingut Keller is widely considered Germany's most important Rheinhessen estate, run by Klaus-Peter Keller, his wife Julia and son Felix from the village of Flörsheim-Dalsheim. The estate's reputation rests on rigorous vineyard work, deep-rooted limestone soils and a singular clarity of style — Jancis Robinson has famously likened Keller's Rieslings to 'the Montrachets of Germany'. The 'Limestone' bottling — sometimes labelled as a Kabinett — showcases the mineral lift of the estate's limestone-dominated terroir.
100% Riesling grown on Jurassic limestone and Muschelkalk soils. Expect a refreshing, mineral-driven Riesling with aromas of lime, green apple and white flowers, edged with wet-stone salinity. The palate is taut and energetic, with a bright, natural-acid line, a light, delicate touch of sweetness and a clean, stony finish.
Hand-harvested and fermented with indigenous yeasts in traditional vessels in the Keller style, with time on fine lees to build texture while preserving the purity and transparency for which the estate is renowned.
