Octave casks are smaller than your average cask, ensuring more contact between the spirit and the wood, so you can expect generous sherry influence here.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Toasted coconut, a touch of engine oil, damp charcoal and chewy treacle toffee.
Palate: Earthy peat smoke and treacle support meaty malt and barky, woody spice.
Finish: Sticky toffee, cured meat, honey-soaked prunes, and raisins back resinous oak.
