Glentauchers - Let’s start with the name pronounced glen-tock-ers - sitting at 59.7%, this batch is the 14th Batch put together by our good friends at The Boutique-y Whisky Company exclusively for Barrel & Batch. Aged for 10 years in 3 Ex Bourbon Hoggies.
This whisky is smooth and creamy at first with burnt toffee flavours and a hit of apple coming through a surprisingly easy sipper at the ABV bottled.
Nose: Very subtle fruity notes - there’s hints of pears and apples mixed with a treacle sweetness.
Palate: Smooth and creamy at first with burnt toffee flavours and more of that apple coming through. Eventually spices begin to prickle the tongue.
Finish: More of the toffee followed by liquorice to the end.
