Ten Minutes by Tractor Judd Chardonnay 2025 750ml
Judd is the highest of Ten Minutes by Tractor's vineyards, topping out at around 206 metres in the Main Ridge country of the Mornington Peninsula. It has a character of its own within the estate, giving fruit that is noticeably more generous than the finer boned Wallis or the delicate McCutcheon.
The winery takes its name from the three original vineyards, Judd, McCutcheon and Wallis, which sit close enough to one another that the trip between them takes about ten minutes on a tractor. They came together in 1997, and the single vineyard wines are made from the best blocks of each site so the differences between them can be seen clearly.
This Chardonnay carries that Judd generosity. Yellow peach, nectarine and citrus are wrapped in nougat, toasted hazelnut and gentle oak spice, and the palate is broad and textural while retaining a firm line of acidity through a long finish. Serve it with roast poultry, pork or richer seafood dishes.
