Ten Minutes by Tractor is one of the Mornington Peninsula's leading estates, founded in 1997 from three vineyards in Main Ridge — McCutcheon, Wallis and Judd — that were described as ten minutes by tractor apart. Acquired in 2003 by Martin and Karen Spedding, the estate has expanded to include the Coolart Road and high-density Spedding vineyards, with Imogen Dillon leading the winemaking.
The 10X Chardonnay is the regional blend in the range, drawing on fruit from across Ten Minutes by Tractor's estate-managed vineyards in the coolest and highest part of the Mornington Peninsula. It is a distinctly cool-climate expression showing bright citrus, white nectarine and perfumed floral lift, with a creamy mid-palate, key lime and biscuit-crumb edges, and a fresh textural finish.
Winemaking follows the estate's unhurried, Burgundian-influenced philosophy: low intervention, indigenous yeasts throughout, and sustainable vineyard practices with no herbicides to preserve terroir expression.
