Domaine Sylvain Cathiard is a family estate in Vosne-Romanée, run since 2011 by Sébastien Cathiard, who succeeded his father Sylvain. In recent years the domaine has expanded into the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, and Les Dames Huguettes is the most distinctive of its single-site wines from these higher, cooler hills.
Les Dames Huguettes is a lieu-dit in the Hautes-Côtes above Nuits-Saint-Georges, with high limestone and thin soils planted to mature Pinot Noir vines. It produces the most incisive and refined of the domaine's Hautes-Côtes wines: crunchy red cherry and redcurrant fruit, floral lift, fine grainy tannins and a pronounced mineral structure through the finish.
Enjoy it with roast poultry, pork, veal or Burgundian classics such as jambon persillé, ideally after a little time in the cellar.
Vintages may vary. Email us at hello@barrelandbatch.com.au if you would like confirmation.
