Czech Dark Lager is a limited release from Stomping Ground Brewing Co, the Melbourne independent brewery founded in 2016 with beer halls in Collingwood, Moorabbin and at Melbourne Airport. Twice named AIBA Champion Medium Australian Brewery, Stomping Ground has built a strong reputation across a wide, award-winning range.
This is a Czech-style dark lager, or tmavé pivo, the traditional dark cousin of Czech pilsner. It pours dark and toasty, with rich chocolate and roasted-malt notes balanced by herbal hop character and a clean, crisp finish.
Brewed in the lager tradition with an extended period of cold conditioning, it stays smooth, refined and sessionable despite the darker style, keeping the easy-drinking character you expect from a good lager.
