KAIJU! Beer was founded in 2013 by brothers Nat and Callum Reeves, and the Victorian brewery made its name on unashamedly intense, hop driven beer. It has stayed entirely family owned since.
Dark Lager applies that hop forward instinct to a dark, crisp brew. Lager yeast lends a subtle spice note that plays against the balanced roast character of the malt, while the trademark KAIJU! dank hop aroma sits over the top.
It finishes with resinous hops and a touch of sweet coffee, dark in the glass but never heavy on the palate. A good pick when you want the roast and colour of a dark beer with the clean, drinkable finish of a lager.
