Domaine Prieuré-Roch is one of Burgundy's most distinctive and sought-after estates, founded by the late Henry-Frédéric Roch and farmed biodynamically with a deeply non-interventionist philosophy. In generous vintages the domaine bottles this cuvée under the Vin de France label, drawn from fruit in the Ladoix area.
A pure expression of Pinot Noir, it is energetic, fresh and fruit-forward. Look for bright cranberry, sour cherry and pomegranate, with an effusive floral nose and lifts of pepper, clove and dried herbs. The palate is silky and vibrant, with fine structure, lively acidity and an underlying mineral intensity.
Wonderfully drinkable now, it pairs beautifully with duck, charcuterie, mushroom dishes and roast poultry, and suits a light chill.
