Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey was founded in 2001 by Pierre-Yves Colin and Caroline Morey, joining two of Burgundy's most respected white wine families. Pierre-Yves served as winemaker at his father Marc Colin's estate from 1994 to 2005 before stepping out on his own, and now works small parcels across Chassagne, Puligny, Meursault and Saint-Aubin to a single, distinctive house style.
Folatières is the largest and most celebrated of the Puligny Premier Crus, climbing the slope above Montrachet and producing whites of weight, length and stoniness. Pierre-Yves's parcels here yield wines that combine the regal frame of Puligny with the chiselled minerality that has become his signature.
The 2023 is layered and built for the cellar, with Anjou pear, citrus and crushed-rock aromatics over a deep, saline core. Whole-cluster pressing at high pressure, native-yeast fermentation in 350-litre barrels and patient ageing on lees give the wine real density without losing transparency.
