A dry estate Riesling from Ökonomierat Rebholz, one of the benchmark producers of Germany's Pfalz region, based in Siebeldingen and with a family history in wine that stretches back generations. The estate has been certified organic since 2005 and biodynamic since 2006, now led by Hansjörg and Birgit Rebholz alongside their children.
The 'Ökonomierat' Riesling Trocken is the estate's entry-level dry bottling (VDP.Gutswein), sourced from variegated sandstone and quartz-rich soils across the estate. Expect aromas of mirabelle, apricot, lemon peel and a gentle smoky note, with a dry, medium-bodied palate of yellow fruit, refreshing acidity and a long, saline-mineral finish.
Hand-harvested, with a 24-hour cold maceration before natural sedimentation and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel. Around 11% ABV.
