Margherita Otto is a small Piedmontese label crafting Nebbiolo from the Langhe hills in Italy's north-west. Cut from classic Piedmont cloth, the wine aims for elegance and precision, offering an accessible, mineral-driven take on the region's noble grape.
Medium-bodied and pretty, it opens with ripe red berries, crushed strawberry, cherry and delicate floral notes, edged with a savoury, spicy undertow. The palate is balanced and charming, with ripe, fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity carrying the fruit through a supple finish.
Approachable and expressive, it drinks well now alongside pasta, roasted meats and hard cheeses.
