Latour-Giraud Bourgogne Blanc 2022 750ml

Latour-Giraud's Bourgogne Blanc is harvested from vines very close to the
Meursault appellation, about 200-300 metres from the winery itself and
falling just outside of the AC boundary with the vines being on average
about 35 years old. It shows all the suppleness, delicate texture and slight
nuttiness for which Meursault is famed and puts many a village level wine
from more famous producers to shame, defying it’s humble Bourgogne
classification, to be a shimmering example of what we all love about wines
from this side of the Rue….
Racked and assembled in mid-July. Mid lemon yellow. Some ripe citrus on the nose, with a terrific intensity of
fruit, now including crunchy fresh apples, along with the light citrus wash, and excellent persistence. The finish
is really quite nuanced, hence the expected bottling decision which will be a little earlier than usual. Indeed, a
really lovely aftertaste
