Village level Gevrey doesn’t get much better than Jean-Luc and Eric Burget’s Mes Favorites.
The nose, now a little more expansivewith a few years under its belt, is filled with ripefruits lined with classic Gevreyflorals, it also now has this wonderfullittle earthy goodness around the edges too. You don’t notice the tannins at first, such is the richness and weight of the fruit, but they come through beautifully on the back, fine chewy tanninand welcome acidity clearing things up and leaving your palate ready for more.
