Ichiro Akuto's most extensive and approachable Whisky, as indicated on its label, is a blend of Malt and Grain Whiskies. While the exact origin of the components remains undisclosed, it is understood that it combines Japanese-distilled products with Whiskies procured globally. The blend features spirits from Akuto's own reserves, which may potentially include Hanyu and Karuizawa, supplemented by his signature Chichibu, as well as spirits from Canada, the United States, Ireland, and Scotland. The imported Whiskeys, aged 3-5 years in their native countries, are meticulously blended with locally-sourced Japanese components and matured for an additional 1-3 years at Chichibu. The Whisky is amalgamated in two 5,000-litre wooden barrels constructed by French cooper Taransaud.
