Garagiste is one of the Mornington Peninsula's leading small-batch producers, founded in 2006 by vigneron Barnaby Flanders (former co-founder of Allies Wines) and joined in 2010 by Cam Marshall. The label is built on single-site, sub-regional expressions of the Peninsula, with the Merricks Grove vineyard — planted in 1994 on grey sandy loam marbled with red ironstone — as its spiritual home.
A Mornington Peninsula rosé drawn from the Merricks Grove vineyard, typically made in a drier, savoury Old World style. Expect a pale colour with lifted aromas of strawberry, pink grapefruit and white blossom, and a textural, fine-boned palate with crunchy acidity and a saline, stone-fruit finish.
Hand-harvested from biodynamically attuned, low-yielding vines. Wild-fermented with minimal intervention in the cellar, and bottled without fining or filtration in line with the Garagiste philosophy.
