Domaine Edouard Confuron is a small, young estate in Vosne-Romanee, one of the most prestigious villages of Burgundy's Cote de Nuits. Les Hautes Maizieres is an uncommon village bottling, made as a distinct cuvee by only a handful of growers, and was among the first single parcels Edouard chose to bottle on its own.
Made from Pinot Noir, it reveals a perfumed bouquet of red cherry, rose petal and subtle spice, with hints of earth and fine oak. The palate is silky and elegant, with pure red fruit, refined tannins and vibrant acidity carrying through to a long, delicate finish.
A graceful and characterful expression of Vosne-Romanee that offers pleasure now and the balance to age well in the cellar.
