Edouard Confuron farms from a historic Vosne-Romanee base in the Cote de Nuits, and his Bourgogne Aligote is a classic, old-school take on Burgundy's other white grape. It is a wine that prizes purity and freshness over weight.
Pale lemon in the glass, it is delicate and lifted on the nose, with citrus, lime and a hint of pear alongside a faint floral edge. The palate is light-bodied and crisp, driven by bright acidity and a clean line of citrus fruit that finishes dry with a refreshing, zesty lift.
Fresh and versatile, it is made for oysters, light seafood, salads or simply as an aperitif.
