A dry, village-level Riesling from one of Alsace's most celebrated estates, Domaine Zind-Humbrecht. Based in Turckheim and run today by Olivier Humbrecht MW, the domaine has been farmed biodynamically since 1997 and was fully certified in 2002.
This is the entry into the domaine's range, sourced from estate-grown fruit on the gravel soils of the Fecht valley around Turckheim. Expect a fresh, aromatic Riesling with lifted citrus and orchard fruit, stony minerality and the zesty, food-friendly acidity that defines the grape in Alsace.
Grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed, with fermentation and extended ageing on fine lees in large traditional foudres for several months, lending texture and depth without obscuring site character. 12.5% ABV.
