Les Grandes Gouttes is a lieu-dit on the southern border of Meursault, just a few hundred metres below the Premier Cru Les Charmes, on the edge with Puligny-Montrachet. Domaine Rougeot's one-hectare parcel features vines planted between 1950 and 1980 on clay-limestone soils — a step up from the entry-level La Monatine, with richer, more complex fruit.
From Pierre-Henri Rougeot's eighth-generation, Demeter-certified biodynamic domaine, the wine is whole-bunch pressed, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and aged in barrel without bâtonnage, fining or filtration. Ripe lemon, subtle toast and a full, fresh palate with the weight and texture that reflect its proximity to Meursault's finest vineyards.
