Domaine Robert Chevillon is one of the most respected estates in Nuits-Saint-Georges, with roots going back to the turn of the 20th century. Today brothers Denis and Bertrand Chevillon, the fifth generation, work the roughly 13 hectares of vines their father Robert built, farming village parcels alongside eight premier cru climats. The estate is widely regarded as a yardstick for the appellation.
The Bourgogne Rouge 2020 is made from Pinot Noir planted on clay-limestone soils from vines of around 20 years old, grown on a 0.8-hectare parcel. It is grown and vinified with the same care as the estate's premier crus, offering a pure, balanced introduction to the Chevillon style: bright berry and earthy perfume, a focused core of Pinot fruit and well-integrated structure.
Hand-harvested grapes are vinified traditionally and aged in French oak with a modest proportion of new wood, preserving the delicate aromas that define Burgundian Pinot.
