A stylish, fragrant Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc from Domaine Naturaliste, the sustainable Wilyabrup estate founded in 2012 by Bruce Dukes. 'Sauvage' sits in the domaine's Direction tier - a step up from the entry Discovery range and styled for more complexity and texture than typical regional Sauvignon.
Expect an aromatic, cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc with citrus, passionfruit, guava, green herbs and a subtle savoury edge. The palate is fresh and precise, with a fine textural layer from partial oak ageing and a long, bright, saline-tinged finish.
Fruit is hand-selected from Margaret River and part-aged in French oak to add depth and mouthfeel, rather than the typical all-stainless-steel treatment. Sustainable, minimal-intervention farming underpins Bruce Dukes' approach across the range.
