Domaine Matrot's Bourgogne Blanc is 100% Chardonnay sourced from a blend of estate-grown and purchased fruit from parcels in and around Meursault, including their own Hautes-Côtes and Auxey-Duresses vines. This is a generously weighted regional white from a family domaine with deep roots in the heart of Meursault.
Pneumatic-pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation before spending 12 months on lees in oak barrels (30% new) at 13% ABV. The result is a citrus and green-fruit-driven Chardonnay with a slightly flinty bouquet, generous and rounded on the palate yet fresh with good grip, texture and fine concentration.
