0.34ha plot planted in 1986 on soils of clay and limestone with some
gravel. Located at the northern extremity of the village (close to 1er cru
‘Les Suchots’ and Croix Rameau), this vineyard has the particularity to be
on shallow and gravelly soil, which means the vines develop under some
stress. Thus we get small berries and a low crop like old-vine fruit. Every
year the harvest is small but with really ripe and concentrated berries.
This gives a wine that feels full in the mouth, with beautiful flavours allied
to a velvety, smooth tannin profile.
Some violet perfume here. Extra direct – beautiful purity – the finish still with
some stricter structure but what a beautifully shaped wine. That’s really a top villages
