0.45ha parcel planted in 1937 on soils of clay and limestone. Located on the northern limit
of Vosne-Romanée, these old vines give a lot of millerandage (small berries), which lend more
concentration in flavours, sugar and polyphenols (colour and tannins). Surrounded by VosneRomanée parcels like ‘les Chaumes’ in the north and by ‘Les Réas’ in the east, these vines give a 'Vosne-like' character to the wine, with more elegance than a usual Nuits-SaintGeorges. A complex wine with power, finesse & minerality.
A fine even purple. The bouquet delivers just a little more intensity, and indeed class. A dark raspberry fruit but
fresher than the Chambolle, and the acidity behind is up to the task. There is a fine clean fruit all the way
through, the best balanced and most interesting of the Tardy wines. Fine tannins and even a mineral touch to
assist the acidity.
