Domaine Jean Grivot is one of the great names of Vosne-Romanée, a family estate prized for refined, terroir-faithful Burgundy. This Nuits-Saint-Georges comes from the Les Charmois parcel and shows the firmer structure and pretty fruit that mark the village.
It is an expressive, finely balanced Pinot Noir, with aromas of red berries, rose petal and a touch of sandalwood, lifted by a gentle earthy, mineral note. The palate is silky and detailed, with ripe red fruit, fine tannins, bright acidity and a long, mineral finish.
Approachable yet built to develop, it pairs wonderfully with duck, game, mushroom dishes and soft cheeses.
