Domaine Henri Boillot is a benchmark producer of white Burgundy, and the Clos de la Mouchère is its jewel. It is a monopole, meaning the domaine is the sole owner of this walled premier cru parcel within the great village of Puligny-Montrachet.
Made entirely from Chardonnay, it is a wine of precision and energy. Floral aromas of acacia blossom, lilac and citrus zest lead into a chiselled, mineral-driven palate, where green apple and crushed-stone notes are carried by taut acidity to a pure, youthfully austere finish.
This is classic Puligny in style, all tension and finesse, and it will unwind and gain complexity with a few years in the cellar.
Vintages may vary. Email us at hello@barrelandbatch.com.au if you would like confirmation.
