Domaine Gilbert Picq et ses Fils is a family estate in the village of Chichée, just south-east of Chablis, prized for pure, mineral wines that faithfully express their terroir. Vaudécorse is one of the estate's distinctive parcels, giving a Chablis with a little more depth and richness than the village cuvée.
Made without oak, fermented with indigenous yeasts and raised in stainless steel, it showcases Chardonnay grown on classic Kimmeridgian limestone. Look for citrus, orchard fruit and white flowers over a flinty, saline minerality, with crisp acidity and a long, clean, stony finish.
A precise and food-friendly Chablis, it is excellent with oysters, shellfish, grilled fish and fresh goat's cheese.
