Domaine Faiveley was founded at Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1825 and is now in the hands of the seventh generation, Erwan Faiveley and his sister Eve. Across more than 120 hectares in the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise, it is one of the largest family owned estates in Burgundy, and its Chalonnaise holdings are where much of the value in the range sits.
Les Villeranges is a white from Rully, Chardonnay grown across a little over five and a half hectares of limestone and marl carrying very little iron, which is where the wine's mineral edge comes from. The bouquet is fresh, with ripe orchard fruit and a flinty note behind it, while the palate is elegant and fleshy without losing its shape, closing crisp and clean.
A versatile white for the table. Try it with roast chicken, grilled fish, creamy pasta or a cheese plate, and enjoy it within its first few years.
