Founded in 1825 by Pierre Faiveley and still family owned after seven generations, Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy's great estates. Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges and now led by Erwan Faiveley, the domaine farms around 120 hectares across the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise, including a remarkable collection of grand and premier cru sites.
This village Meursault is made from hand-picked Chardonnay and aged in French oak barrels in the domaine's historic cellars. It shows a straw-yellow colour and inviting aromas of white peach, golden apple and honeysuckle, with light vanilla and toasty notes from the oak. The palate is round and full, balanced by a fresh mineral line that carries through to a long, refreshing finish.
Serve at 8 to 10°C alongside roast chicken, crab, scallops in beurre blanc or creamy pasta dishes.
