Domaine du Bouchot is based in Saint-Andelain, the heart of the Pouilly-Fumé appellation on the right bank of the Loire. It was the first estate in the appellation to be certified organic, and since 2018 has been run by Antoine Gouffier, who took over from his mentors and continues to farm organically and biodynamically.
Terres Blanches is a Sauvignon Blanc blended from several plots of vines averaging 35 to 40 years old, grown on Kimmeridgian marl and chalky limestone. It is fermented with natural yeasts, mostly in stainless steel with a small portion in large French oak. The wine is precise and mineral, with grapefruit zest, citrus and fresh herbs, a salty, oyster-shell edge and a cool, textured finish.
Perfect with oysters, goat's cheese, grilled white fish or a herby salad.
Vintages may vary. Email us at hello@barrelandbatch.com.au if you would like confirmation.
