From Domaine de la Vougeraie, the Boisset family's prestigious estate based in Premeaux-Prissey between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. Founded in 1999 to bring together the finest Burgundian vineyard holdings the Boisset group had acquired since 1964, the domaine today farms around 44 hectares spread across more than 30 appellations and is certified organic, with biodynamic principles applied throughout the vineyards.
A Grand Cru Chardonnay from the legendary south-facing slopes of the Montagne de Corton, between Aloxe-Corton and Pernand-Vergelesses. The vineyard sits between 250 and 320 metres altitude on chalky white soils rich in silica, limestone and stones. Expect a powerful, finely chiselled wine with talc-like texture, iodine and saline length, alongside notes of candied lemon and a striking minerality that signals its Grand Cru status.
Whole-bunch pressed in a pneumatic press for around two and a half hours, with fermentation starting in tank before finishing in barrel. Aged for 16 months in oak barrels (approximately 28% new), then a further two months in stainless steel.
