Domaine de la Pousse d'Or's village Chambolle-Musigny is sourced from seven small parcels totalling 1.4 hectares across this renowned appellation in the Côte de Nuits. Certified biodynamic since 2018 under Demeter, the estate takes a meticulous, minimal-intervention approach — hand-harvesting, native yeast fermentation, gravity-only movement, and lunar-cycle bottling with minimal added sulphur.
The wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barriques (20% new) and embodies the perfumed, feminine character for which Chambolle-Musigny is celebrated. Aromas of woodland berries, wild strawberry and cranberry mingle with wet rose petals, sandalwood spice and pekoe tea. The palate is medium-bodied with focused, refined structure and a vivid mineral thread that carries through to a long, graceful finish.
