Domaine Daniel Dampt's Petit Chablis is a pure, unadorned expression of northern Burgundy's coolest Chardonnay appellation. The Dampt family has been making wine in the region for around 150 years, and this entry-level cuvée is drawn from parcels of young and old vines near the family cellars in the village of Milly.
Fermented and matured entirely in stainless steel, the 2023 preserves the raw mineral precision that makes great Petit Chablis so compelling. Pale lemon-gold in colour, the nose shows clean lemon zest, white flowers, green apple and a whisper of oyster shell, while the palate is light, racy and bone dry with a fine silky texture and a long, saline finish.
A quintessential summer white and a versatile match for oysters, charcuterie, goat's cheese or creamy seafood. Outstanding value from one of the most reliable names in Chablis.
