A classic village Chablis from Domaine Daniel Dampt et Fils, a fifth-generation estate based in the village of Milly on the outskirts of Chablis. The domaine is now run by brothers Vincent and Sébastien Dampt, continuing a family tradition established by their grandfather Jean Defaix and father Daniel Dampt. Around 30ha of vineyards across village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru sites.
100% Chardonnay grown on the classic Kimmeridgian limestone soils of Chablis. A textbook expression of the appellation - pale lemon-green in colour, with aromas of white flowers, citrus, green apple and crushed stone, leading into a clean, linear palate with crisp acidity and a dry, mineral finish. The cuvée is blended from older vines (for complexity and structure) and younger vines (for freshness and minerality).
Vinified entirely in stainless steel, with no oak, to preserve fruit purity and allow each terroir to shine through - a tradition started by grandfather Jean Defaix, who was one of the first in Chablis to go oak-free.
