Domaine Collotte is a four-generation family estate based in Marsannay-la-Côte, at the northern tip of the Côte de Nuits. Philippe Collotte bottled the first wine under the domaine's name in 1981, and today his daughter Isabelle runs the estate, which farms by ploughing without herbicides and fully destems its red grapes.
This village Gevrey-Chambertin is a blend of several of the domaine's parcels in the appellation, including vines in En Champs, just below the premier cru Champeaux. It shows the classic Gevrey profile in an approachable style: ripe red and black cherry, hints of spice and forest floor, a supple, generous palate and well-integrated tannins.
A satisfying partner for steak, roast duck, beef bourguignon or mushroom dishes, it can be enjoyed now or over the next several years.
Vintages may vary. Email us at hello@barrelandbatch.com.au if you would like confirmation.
