Petite Chapelle is a Premier Cru vineyard in Gevrey-Chambertin, situated on the lower slopes directly below the Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru. The deep clay-and-limestone soils at around 265 metres altitude produce wines of structure and fullness, while the cooler mesoclimate adds an elegant, restrained dimension.
Confuron-Cotetidot is a domaine of deliberate, old-school methods: 100% whole-cluster fermentation with no destemming, late harvesting to ensure ripe stems, two to three weeks of maceration, and up to two years in barrel with new oak proportional to appellation. The result is a classically concentrated, deeply structured Gevrey-Chambertin with firm tannins and excellent cellaring potential.
