Ca' del Baio is a family estate in Treiso, in the heart of Piedmont's Langhe hills, where the Grasso family has long tended vineyards renowned for Nebbiolo. Their Bric del Baio is a Langhe Nebbiolo that offers a wonderfully approachable introduction to the grape behind Barolo and Barbaresco.
The wine pours a light garnet red and unfolds with aromas of cherry and plum, lifted by classic floral notes of rose and violet, with hints of liquorice, tobacco and gentle spice. Medium-bodied and finely structured, it shows bright red fruit framed by Nebbiolo's characteristic firm yet fine-grained tannins, with fresh acidity keeping everything lively.
Elegant and food-friendly, it suits braised meats, lamb, game and hard cheeses.
