The spirit is aged in a combination of first-fill bourbon casks and Oloroso hogsheads from Jerez, Spain, adding layers of ripe fruit and coastal influence to the intensely smoky profile. • Nose: Smoky cinder toffee and honeyed malt introduce this whisky, balanced with fresh citrus zest. The nose opens to dried fruit, seashell minerality, and the trademark Octomore peat smoke. Hints of cloves, toasted nuts, and coconut add depth, alongside butterscotch and brown sugar.
• Palate: Though high in strength, the texture is soft and rounded. Rich butterscotch and creamy vanilla contrast with bright dried fruit and orange zest. Layers of toasted oak and the sweetness of Islay barley are underpinned by a dry, intense smoke.
• Finish: A lingering mix of burnt sugar, coconut, and salty sea spray, with the earthy peat smoke leaving a lasting, compelling impression.
