Benriach 25 Years Old Single Malt Whisky 700ml

In 1898, the BenRiach Speyside Distillery was constructed under the guidance of John Duff. Notably, it is among a limited number of distilleries presenting on-site floor malting, sourcing its water supply from the Burnside Springs.

This exceptional single malt has been meticulously prepared from peated spirit and has undergone a four cask maturation process for a minimum of thirty years within sherry casks, bourbon barrels, virgin oak casks, and port casks, sourced from the Douro Valley. During the extensive maturation process, the distinct sweet smoke of Benriach, a Speyside signature, seamlessly blends with the fruit, malt, and oak. Post thirty years, a rich layered maturity surfaces, resulting in an exquisite honeyed smoke, further elevated by complex cask maturation. Each cask type contributes unique flavour characteristics to the whisky which is subsequently expertly blended together culminating in an impeccably balanced single malt. The final product features layers of dark fruits, rich walnut and a velvety oak spice, all culminating in a long, complex, smoked honey finish.

Master Blender, Rachel Barrie notes that as the whisky reaches a maturity of twenty-five years, an enhanced depth of character emerges. The distinct attributes of rich baked fruits, honeyed malt and a caramel smoke finish further enrich the already sumptuous flavour of this quad cask matured expression.
