The Chardonnay vines are planted on an east-facing slope, benefiting from morning and late afternoon sun—ideal for producing high-quality grapes. With an average vine age of over 40 years, the fruit gains added complexity. Hand-harvested in the early morning, the grapes are gently pressed, chilled, and inoculated with yeast before fermentation in new and slightly older French oak barrels. The wine is aged on lees with regular stirring to enhance texture. After 11 months, it is fined and bottled. The Isabella Chardonnay is known for its elegance, balanced mid-palate, and, with bottle age, develops complex nutty and toasty flavors with a fresh, tight finish.
