With the 2022 vintage marking the 10th release of this wine, we’re excited at the unique place this wild-ferment wonder has in the Australian wine landscape – a testament to Mario’s vision & Madeleine’s winemaking.
TASTING NOTES
Golden green in colour with a hint of struck match on the nose accompanied by aromas of lemon pith, rind and split peas. The palate begins crisp with slate minerality opening to plush fruit characters of tangerine, nectarine and grapefruit alongside typical savoury character of nutty cashew from the Malvasia component. Subtle hints of oak are present alongside pleasingly amaro-style phenolics and a long finish. An excellent food wine.
