Tromba is a premium 100% blue agave tequila produced in the highlands of Los Altos, Jalisco. Founded by two Australians and a Canadian who teamed up with celebrated maestro tequilero Marco Cedano (former master distiller for Don Julio) and his son Rodrigo, the brand has built a reputation for showing what carefully made highland agave can deliver at the premium end.
This Añejo expression is rested in white oak American barrels for up to 24 months, picking up a soft golden hue and a rich, layered character. The nose opens with vanilla cream, warm oak and a wash of caramelised agave, joined by ripe stone fruit and gentle baking spice. The palate is generous and rounded, with honey-glazed agave, dark chocolate, dried fig and a thread of clove and nutmeg leading into a velvety, lingering finish carrying soft oak, a hint of smoke and a touch of white pepper.
A genuinely cocktail-friendly añejo that drinks beautifully neat, on a single rock, or stirred into an Old Fashioned in place of bourbon.
