Tomintoul 15 Year Old Portwood Finish is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from the Tomintoul distillery, presented here in a gift box. The whisky spends its early years maturing in ex-bourbon casks before being transferred to Port pipes specially sourced from Portugal for its finishing period.
The Port finish adds a rich, fruity dimension to Tomintoul's gentle house style. The nose offers summer fruits such as strawberries and blackberries alongside toffee and cigar box spice, while the palate brings malt and sweet Port fruit with notes of chocolate, cherry and sultana, rounded out by spicy oak.
It is bottled without chill filtration to preserve the natural aromatic character of the spirit.
