Thistle & Weed Khakibos White 2022 750ml

Our Verdelho is grown in koffiekliprich soil, treasured for its free-draining quality, and found anchored on the foot slopes of the Helderberg Mountain. Our Chenin blanc is located in our exceptional Paarl vineyard, our old vine Palomino is grown in Piekenierskloof sandstone and Fernão Pires is from the gravelly soils located along the Breede River.

The grapes were delicately whole bunch pressed and naturally fermented 2nd fill and older French oak barrels, only the free run juice was used.

The wine was allowed to mature on lees for 12 months prior to bottling, unfiltered.

Aromas of citrus, orange blossom and toasted brioche. The richly layered, and expressive palate is kept in line by a searing acidity finishing with a sherbet tang.
